Privacy Policy

ClearStatus is an iOS app that converts videos from your photo library into clips optimized for sharing as WhatsApp Status updates. This policy explains what information ClearStatus handles and how.

What ClearStatus does with your videos

• Videos you select are read from your photo library and processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party by the app.
• Converted clips are saved back to your photo library or shared only when you explicitly choose to do so, using Apple's standard share sheet.
• Temporary working files created during conversion are stored in the app's private on-device storage and are cleaned up automatically.

Data collection

Apart from the advertising data described in the next section, ClearStatus does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information
• Crash reports
• Your videos, photos, or any media content

The app does not use tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and does not use or share data for cross-app or cross-website tracking.

Advertising (free version only)

Free users can optionally watch a short rewarded video ad, served by Google AdMob, to remove the watermark from a single video part. Premium subscribers never see ads. When an ad is loaded or shown, Google's AdMob SDK may process device and ad identifiers, general usage data (such as ad views and interactions), and diagnostic data, to serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. This processing is unrelated to your videos — nothing about the video you're converting is ever shared with AdMob or Google.

ClearStatus requests non-personalized ads only, so ads are not targeted using a profile built from your activity. Where local law requires it (such as under the GDPR in the EEA and UK), Google's consent form is shown before any ad is requested, and you can change that choice later. Premium subscribers never reach this code path at all — the ads SDK is never started for them.

Photo library access

ClearStatus requests photo library access solely to let you pick videos for conversion and to save converted clips back to your library. Access is governed by iOS permissions that you can change at any time in Settings.

Subscriptions and payments

ClearStatus Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Apple's privacy policy applies to the payment process: apple.com/legal/privacy

Children's privacy

ClearStatus does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
